I don’t have a brain injury but I do have cochlear damage in my ears(vestibular migraines) which make me feel everything you just said. Dizziness that’s incapacitating, being hearing impaired to point struggling in social settings etc. today I had a vertigo attack badly and I haven’t had a big one for a few weeks which was longest time since I felt fine. To just feel like I’m back to square one.

I got jumped 23 years ago now i cant take the side effects like everyone says its hard to talk straight, i never got medical help and its getting much worse at 43 yrs old. Im out of hope, my dr wont give me klonopin which i had been on since 11 years old. Went from 6 mg a day to 1, i need a new dr. I never abused my prescription ever , any advice is appreciated, im tierd and need any break i can get, need job and medication, thats probably it, 1 mg is too small, i cant stop 1000 miles an hour thinking in circles. i got severe migraines sometimes, and i forget words sometimes, i mixed languages, and i forgot one of the languages, i feel very sleepy, i sometimes i cant sleep. I cant write essays anymore.

People with all types of injuries could walk by the perfectly tuned piano and be healed of all sorts of illnesses by sliding a hand up and down the keys from C1 to C4 and back down; like hearing the healing voice oce of Christ?

Is there a perfect frequency of a piano can be tuned to that can heal a human mind and body by sliding a finger up and down the keys aligning the human dna with the perfect frequencies and vibrations?

"I don't remember" and "I forgot" feel like the biggest cop outs for me. They are 100% true and accurate but I can't even guess how many times I utter those words in a day. I compose emails and texts and forget to send them which, again, sounds like a dumb excuse. I honestly don't know why I don't hit the "send" button, I just didn't even though I wanted to and often believe that I did. I regularly go to dinner with old friends from high school and I hate it. It's over stimulating and exhausting because I do care and want to participate but I can't seem to filter all of the conversations happening at once. Additionally, they tell stories that I was a part of that I have absolutely no memory of. I can't tell if they're messing with me (not out of malice, it's just what we do with each other) or if they're true. Sometimes I think "that sounds like something I might have said/done" and other times it is completely unbelievable. I miss me.

I wanna say this is the best video I’ve seen that explains what having a brain injury is actually like. I currently have a brain injury that I got a little over 3 years ago from a serious, near fatal car accident on the highway, so what she says about what it’s like to actually have a brain injury and the fact that it’s a silent injury, because it’s not visible, everything with you looks fine but it’s really not, your brain is on a roller coaster.

Cristabelle, I am a 2 time traumatic brain injury suvivor and had to spend 2 sentences at the " Encompass Health 3131 Troup HWY. " and the " Neurorestotive " in Tyler when they were renting the 6th floor of the UT Health Building Tyler. They are now at 6589 Oak Hill BLVD. We actually have an " Encompass Health " 6800 W. 15th, DART 236 Addison, and a Mentor Corporation, " Neurorestorative " 2301 W. Campbell Rd. DART 247 Jupiter. After failing ( badly ) to be able to con me into believing that she was going to call the Plano police on me last year, a certain 85 year old blasheming ! malice border ( originally from the red light district of Dallas , 3016 Kinkeade ,where she failed badly ! to supplant her income ! hopped into her ! honda tin can that she worships and drove it 1300 miles to enlst in general robert isaac crisp's confedederate states of america, 2707 Omega road, Henrico, VA , where the garage was converted into a den ! There's only one minor problem with anyone that makes an " ass-u-me-ption " , They make an ass out of u and me ! ) Uncle Bob transfered to Elon Baptist Cemetary 2006, right next door to his cousin, Doris Jane Hartley Crisp ! you speak to me Traumatic Brain Injury 1/25/23 derailed my entire life , still trying to find me, clawing to get back only feels like failure, journaling sowed me my deficits , no one sees my real pain , I am not stuck I believe in recovery not what I used to be but the new me full of flaws is better than nothingness

Thank you very much indeed my dear friend ! In a few words my story. In 2011 I had an accident and TBI with a coma of 6 weeks. And when I woke up I had an hemiparesis of 8 weeks but with heavy consequences on my nervous system. Doing better today but, omg, your words brought me so many memories of those years. In your words I did find what is crucial in everybody life which is HOPE !

My surgeon has said that won't recover fully throughout my life and the maximum m memory that I will re attain will be 60 - 70%

Thats real talk right there. We have been suffering for 4+ years with a brain injury. We have recovered to about 85% of what we were prior. It took a very long time to get there.

Thank you Cristabelle Braden for Hope Survives. It will be my new song because " I AM A SURVIVOR" !! In August of 2023 I suffered a traumatic brain injury in a head on collision. Recovery is the hardest thing I've ever done AND I have run a marathon. I was in training for a 100 mile endurance run when the accident happened. So I know a little bit about hard. I am also a guitar player and having to relearn how to play. This will be hard as well as I also suffered a broken left arm and had severe burns on my right hand, nearly lost my right thumb. Like I said: it will be hard but I will learn this song!!

It took me some time to detach from the negativity that it would open up inside me again but I learnt to look at everything with a veil of gratitude as the truth really is I am a survivor with a disability. I am in that dark tunnel right now. And things have been changing, some for better, some for worse, and i barely seeing a neurologist as it took a year & a half to get into the neurologist's PA. She thought i had a stroke, because of the Aphasia, but i told her it started right after the truck accident (which was my 2nd TBI in 3 months); now i see double and have all the pain/pills, migraines, basically 3 pages of symptoms. Still fighting for myself - daily struggle. I did buy a medical bracelet that gives my name, and who to call, should i be unable to speak; which has happened 3 times where i couldn't think of what to say and it frightened me so now that fear is put aside. This is a hard trial, but God is helping me fight.

Just realized that my traumatic brain injuries occurred in a massive fall in the month of brain injury awareness. Brought tears to my eyes as I am less than a month from the date of my injury and I still have a very long and scary road ahead of me. On March 15,2017, I had just finished working the midnight -400 hour shift at Sardar Biglari's permanently closed " Steak-n-Shake " 15125 Montfort (that was supposed ! to be re-opened as a franchise ) and before I could get to DART's Arapaho Center Station ( which was called " Richardson Transit Center " before DART purchased the ROW of the Houston and Texas Central Railroad in 1980 for their red line ) an unknown Dallas motor vehicle driver knocked me off of my bike, rewarded me with a fractured pelvis, a 6" scar on my abdomen and a traumatic brain injury with scars on my scalp ! ( When I came to, bradley scott merritt's paddy wagon was escorting me to his Trinity Alcatraz 3131 Troup HWY ! After just ! one look at me, demeritt threw ! me into room 129 ( in solitary confinement , mind you ) and zipped me into one of his infamous " Posey " bed torture devices ! ( 3 months ago After 7 solid years of despising me, demeritt phoned the Tyler police who escorted me to the Smith county detention center, 206 E. Elm, downtown Tyler ! ) My attorney in Tyler was Matt Mislak ( not Ben Matlock from N. Carolina ) I recieived a $ 1100.00 check for Richardson Bike MART UTD flagship store Trek bike replacement and an $ 18,000,00 check from my attorney here in Dallas, Mike Weeks for being sentenced to that 61year old $#@!~! bradley scott demeritt's Trinity Alcatraz, 3131 Troup HWY. ( bradley scott meritt was born in 1963, the very same year that Roman Catholic John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated here in Dallas by a 24 year old ex-Marine sharpshooter, Lee Harvey Oswald, with a $19.00 mail order rifle ! ) 3 months ago, the Tyler police knocked on my door and escorted me to the Smith county detention center, 206 E. Elm, downtown Tyler in shackles and handcuffs because of a " Halloween " card that I constructed and mailed to bradley scott merritt's home address in Tyler, 3864 Brighton Creek ,Tyler,TX 75707-1675 ( 903-566-1622 is that 61year old bradley scott merritt's home phone number . ( merritt is actually the 2nd most evil person on planet earth ! [only " the celebrity apprentice " trumps demeritt's evilness, literally ! ) The week before Christmas, I mailed demerit a " Christmas card. I get this all the time from people that can’t see the injury but think you are weird and avoid you. So I just withdrawal from society and wish life was normal.

Just saw the P.A. at the neurologist office for the 1st time since my TBI and heard the term "Aphasia" so they are running tests soon. Went to warm up dinner and said, "There's the meatloaf, and there's the pajamas." I meant to say, "mashed potatoes and gravy", but i think my mind was trying to say, "potatoes". It was like confirmation for me. My vehicle accident was 1.5 years ago.

I was hit by a car when I was 7, I’m 25 now and I’m just now realizing my injuries might be more mental than physical. Forgetting things, impaired reasoning, etc. I feel fine physically but mentally I find it difficult to even keep a conversation going.

I survived a cardiac arrest outside of the hospital. I have a brain injury from a lack of oxygen. Life has changed in many ways for me. Do what you can because there is always hope. Never give up.
